      8 Step Weight & Life Style Management

 

    

During this Step you will review and pick three of your top exercise programs that you plan to implement during the next 90 days. It is important to pick exercise programs that you feel comfortable with and maybe even have enjoyed in the past. Exercise should be a combination of fun and work.  You should enjoy working out, but you should not lose sight that it is work. People who have a good work ethic tend to be better at staying on a routine work out.

            Many people will say that they don’t like working out, or that they don’t like to sweat.  If you are one of these people, you need to change your perspective. You should not treat your self like a child. It does not matter if you like working out or not. You should do it, because you are responsible for your life. You know it is good for you, and you need to stop giving your self excuses. Change your mind-set. If you sincerely don’t like working out, and this is holding you back, you should spend extra time everyday reprogramming your brain.  Tell your self twenty times in a row silently, “I like working out, and I like the benefits working out offer my life”.  Once you begin to reprogram your mind-set, you will begin to actually like working out, and will enjoy the many benefits of better life management

 Begin Step 4

 Develop an Exercise Program  

    

During Step Four you will begin to review exercise programs that will best fit your life style, goals and current health requirements. During this step you will review exercise programs that are exciting to you, and learn strategies to begin to help motivate you too success.

            Remember, prior to starting any physical exercise program you should consult with your physician. In addition, it is very important that you do not over due it in the beginning. If you choose to create a work out that includes push-ups, and you have not actually attempted a push-up for some time, it might be good to start out by holding your push-up position for 10 seconds at a time, for several intervals during the beginning. It is better to start out very slowly and build into a more intense workout at a later time as your conditioning and health begin the recovery process.
